The winners included Lizzy Blaylock, Danielle Jure, Pauline Lucas, Troy Wooten, and Kai Anderson. Lizzy and Pauline graduated this year from Kapaa High School while Danielle, Troy and Kai attended Kula High School. As a group they received $22,000 in scholarship money from HRYF. Troy Wooten plans to attend the University of Hawaii at Manoa while the others will go to schools on the mainland.

Club Secretary George Corrigan was on the team of islandwide judges and pointed out that these young people are truly extraordinary. Not only are they exceptional students, they are also athletes, school leaders and active in their community.
